50 Shades of Grey Movie: Kate Beckinsale Gives Her Thoughts On Playing The Role Of Anastasia Steele [VIDEO]
Chatter has been spewing increasingly rapid as to who will end up playing 21 year-old student Anastasia Steele in the highly anticipated “50 Shades of Grey” film. Unbelievably, Angelina Jolie had been rumored to have pushed for a role and “Harry Potter” star Emma Watson was unknowingly the front runner.
However, the latest unorthodox option for the part is now Total Recall’s Kate Beckinsale. The actress allegedly has several people pulling for her to land the coveted role. While the 39 year-old would look amazing donning leather, she faces the same issue Jolie had, which is her older age.
When Beckinsale was queried about a potential role in the racy movie, the English beauty had the following to say, according to a Hollyscoop video clip:
"I haven't [read the book], so I can’t possibly say,” Beckinsale said.
“The whole idea of that sounds very exhausting to me," she added.
Funny enough, Beckinsale did have some words of wisdom for whoever is playing the part of Anastasia and Christian:
“Make sure you have deodorant on,” she advised.
On the other hand, the infamous Victoria Beckham is a whole other story (no pun intended) as she can’t seem to get enough of the “mummy porn.” The beautiful mother of four is now actually up to the 2nd book; “Fifty Shades Darker.”
To top that off, she even gave the sexy reads to her mom. However, the fashionista still refuses to speak on the touchy subject with her, according to Examiner:
"...Every time she tries to engage in conversation about it, I kind of dodge the subject. I don't really want to talk to my mother about S&M," she said.
