It remains to be seen what Regina (Lana Parrilla) will do if/when she meets the storybook author on ABC's Once Upon a Time, but Parrilla has one intriguing theory.

What Snow Queen Whispered To Mr. Gold Revealed In Next Episode?

While Regina is desperate for a happy ending, it is not clear if the character will make the storybook author write her one when she finally meets them.

"I think that maybe when she gets there, it'd be interesting if she decided not to do anything because the story the way it's been written has shaped who's she's become," Parrilla speculated in a new report by Zap2It. "These are questions I have myself but I don't ask because they are questions [the producers] would never give me answers to!"

'Once Upon a Time' Sisters Elsa & Anna Coming Together To Defeat 'Terrifying' Snow Queen?

Much of Regina's storyline this year has been surrounding Robin Hood (Sean Maguire). She has been very conflicted with telling Robin to be with his wife Marian (Christie Laing) while also secretly wanting him for herself. The character is hoping to never revert to her "Evil Queen" side again.

"[Robin and Henry] are two people that see her for who she now is and she never wants to be seen as the evil in their eyes," Parrilla noted. "It is the power of love. If she were to revert back to her old ways she would lose both and then she's alone. She's already been alone for too long."

Once Upon a Time airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
