Even though the pre-production for Transformers 5 might be in a state of limbo, that hasn't stopped rumors about the possible plot twists in the sequel, and one of these turns could be pretty exciting.

Quintessons To Be The Prime Villains In Transformers 5?

In the climax of Age of Extinction, Optimus Prime was headed to Cybertron to meet his creators and it was mostly assumed that he would not play a dominant role in the sequel, which is also set to take place on mortal ground. In a recent report it has been suggested that the race of mechanoids, who are purportedly responsible for the creation of the transformers, will be joining the fight on earth. The possibility of Optimus Prime guiding his makers back to earth to help fight the war should also be considered.

There have also been other reports that suggest that Ultra Magnus will be holding the fort on earth for Optimus Prime, who will be off to Cybertron to meet his creator. And Cyclonus, will be one of the prime Decepticons to defeat, and taking on the role of one of the main antagonists. Vector Prime, Rodimus Prime, Red Alert and Scourge are also expected to join the crew.

Ultra Magnus To Fight Cyclonus In Transformers 5?

Many believed that the sequel would be set in Cybertron and there were a lot of theories being suggested to corroborate that. But in a recent interview, producer Lorenzo de Bonaventura revealed that it was more likely that the saga will continue to unfold on mortal land and there were no plans to set it in space. In fact Bonaventura also stated that the setting for Transformers 5 will be very similar to that of Age of Extinction.
