Nicki Minaj's lyric video for Only has caused lots of controversy since it was released on Nov. 7. Now, the video's director, Jeff Osborne, spoke out about his vision and more concerning it.

Chris Brown Is Going On Tour In 2015

The lyric video for Only has been deemed anti-semitic by the masses. There are many visuals in the video that allude to Nazism. Osborne even told Myspace on Tuesday Nov. 11 that the images in the video "are all representative of Nazism." He also said, "I'm not apologizing for my work."

Osborne also made it very clear in the statement that his personal views are not the views of Minaj, Chris Brown, Drake, Lil Wayne or Young Money. He also threw out a popular phrase with this generation, "Sorry I'm not sorry," as he explained that he thinks it's actually important to remind younger generations of massacres that occurred in the past as a way to prevent them from happening in the future. He believes the most effective way of doing so is through social media and pop culture so that is why he made the artistic decision to not portray a "sappy tearjerker."

Billboard spoke with Osborne too, where he said, "The reason I'm not apologizing is because neither I nor the video are anti-semitic. I can't be sorry for something I'm being falsely accused of. The video represents Young Money as a generic totalitarian regime, which takes images and symbols from several countries and time periods, one of which is Nazism."

He further explained the process behind putting the lyric video together and concluded that he "simply sen[t] them the video and they reject, approve, or ask for changes."

Minaj, however, has apologized. She took to Twitter on Nov. 11 to say the following: "I didn't come up w/the concept, but I'm very sorry & take full responsibility if it has offended anyone. I'd never condone Nazism in my art."

Minaj also tweeted out twice more about the controversy over the lyric video. Those tweets can be seen below.
