The NBC series starting filming in October, and the psychological thriller will start work on the fourth episode this Monday.
"We are filming away!" Fuller tweeted on Thursday. "Start episode 4 next week!"
Currently working in Toronto, series creator Bryan Fuller will move production to Italy during December. Hannibal's quick filming schedule could be because some scenes are being held for December filming.
Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen) spent the hiatus on the run across Europe, and the hungry, hungry cannibal will eventually find himself in a Mediterranean climate. Although the series is working to make Toronto double as multiple countries, Fuller is looking for something a little more authentic.
"We're actually going to be going to Italy for exteriors," Fuller explained to Zap2It. "We're going to be shooting in December in Florence...When you see those exteriors intercut with the interiors, the audience's mind will just make the connection."
