The preview clip for the upcoming episode, titled The Trial, of The Good Wife shows Cary (Matt Czuchry) running against time as he needs to decide if he rat out on Lemond Bishop (Mike Colter) for his own freedom.

Alicia And Finn To Be Romantically Involved In The Good Wife?

In the clip, a lawyer from the state's attorney's office is seen telling Cary that they are willing to offer a lighter sentence if he testifies against Bishop. Although Cary responds in the negative stating he can't do that, he is seen struggling over the rest of the promo.

Alicia (Julianna Margulies) is also seen expressing concern, cautioning Cary against doing something, -- seemingly snitching on Bishop -- which Cary doesn't seem to take too well, as he says that he is not prepared to spend 15 years in prison. The tension is built up until the end, where Cary is seen in court as the judge asks him if he'd like to revise his plea.

Another Peter-Related Controversy Threatens Alicia's Campaign In Upcoming Episode

Bishop has left Cary/Agos, which could make it a touch easier for Cary to sacrifice the drug lynch pin, but at the same time the young lawyer is known to be very ethical and loyal to his clients, and doing so would mean compromising his principles by a wide margin. It must also be noted that Bishop's men would easily catch up to Cary and avenge the betrayal, so he wouldn't be safe outside of prison, either.

The next episode of The Good Wife will air on November 22.
