Longmire, which was cancelled by A&E after three seasons, is in the process of signing a deal with Netflix. While this is certainly a major step towards a fourth season, it doesn't mean that the program's loyal following is ready to ease up just yet.

'Longmire' In Talks With Netflix For Season 4

The crime drama's Twitter fanbase is helmed by the "Longmire Posse" which has worked over the last few months to keep the spirit of the series alive, encouraging other networks to save Longmire front permanent cancellation.

Word of a deal with Netflix broke last week and while some fans might consider this the victory they'd been waiting for, the "posse" still plans to move forward with the weekly "Twitter Stampede" on Monday night.

The stampedes aim to promote the cancelled show and with a Netflix deal so close to completion, it looks the fans aren't taking any chances by loosing momentum.

Longmire star Adam Bartley (Ferg) shared the news of the deal on Twitter Friday, telling fans that they've been a huge part of keeping the series going.

According to Deadline, Warner Horizon producers are still in talks for Season 4, and while nothing has been signed just yet both parties are incredibly optimistic and things are looking good.

If Longmire does return on Netflix for a fourth season, production is expected to begin in March 2015 with a premiere later in the year.
