The Mentalist will conclude its seven-season run with a search for a serial killer, a very fitting way to go out considering Jane and Lisbon's Red John past.

The new baddie will go by the name of Lazarus, according to TV Line, and his story arc will take up the final two episodes.

By day, Lazarus is an exterminator, but his desire to kill extends far beyond the realm of termites and mice. TV Line reports that, of course, the murder will have psychopathic tendencies, and his disturbing hobby will put him on the FBI's radar.

The Mentalist will only have a 13-episode season, with the final two episodes set to air on the same night. It seems the Lazarus story will start to unfold in episode 12, "Brown Shag Carpet," before spilling into the untitled series finale.

Before viewers can meet old Lazarus, however, they must first get through "Nothing But Blue Skies," "The Graybar Hotel," "Orange Blossom Ice Cream," "Pink Rocks," Silver Briefcase," "Green Light," "Little Yellow House," "The White of His Eyes," "Copper Bullet," "Nothing Gold Can Stay," and "Byzantium."
