A new synopsis for the highly anticipated 200th episode of Fox's Bones has been released, revealing how Brennan (Emily Deschanel), Booth (David Boreanaz) will fit in to legendary director Alfred Hitchcock's suspenseful style.

Fox released a plot synopsis for the episode, which is titled The 200th in the 10th, on Thursday.

"Bones pays homage to Alfred Hitchcock in an episode that reimagines the Jeffersonian and FBI teams in 1950s Hollywood," the synopsis reads. "Brennan plays an LAPD detective who's battling sexism on the force, and Booth is a notorious jewel thief who is far more than he seems to be. When Booth is framed for the murder of a rich socialite, he and Brennan team up to clear his name and find the true identity of the murderer."

This episode is scheduled to air Thursday, Dec. 11 on Fox.

As previewed by Bones executive producer Stephen Nathan, the show will really be embracing the style of the 1950s, at least how it was depicted in film.

"Vintage cars, different sets and all those old processed shots they did in the 50s. It's going to be a Technicolor spectacular," he told TVLine previously.

He also added that the episode is not necessarily an "alternate reality" episode, just a reimagining.

"It's not an alternate reality, it's as if Booth and Brennan existed in this world - would they still get together?" Nathan explained further. "Everyone is sort of playing their own characters."

It was probably a lot of fun for Boreanaz, Deschanel and the gang to film in this drastically different style after 199 episodes, and 9+ seasons. This energy will likely translate to the screen, providing Bones fans with a nice break from the heavier drama this season.

Bones airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
