In a preview clip for the episode, titled Light at the End of the Day, he is back home in Ohio again, and is planning to meet up with Rena to get the truth out of her once and for all by taking a pregnancy test.

Since returning home though, Bates has learned several shocking new secrets about Rena-including that she has stopped going to church again and has taken up partying-and he will demand answers from her once he sees her again for the first time since their break-up.

Bates Realizes He Has A Lot Of Work To Do On His Acting Career

"I heard that you're back to Amish parties and s-t. And that you know, you quit. Well, actually you told me you quit going to church. Why'd you quit going to church?" he asks her when they meet once again.

Rena gives Bates an unexpected answer that she stopped going because she wanted to be fully into it, and she wasn't, making Bates realize that she may have lied to him about why she dumped him-because he was distracting her from going back.

"Well, you said that it was me leading you away from God," he says in the clip.

"Well that's how I felt, but no, obviously not," she replies.

"So you broke my heart for nothing pretty much," he adds.

After that exchange however Bates will then ask Rena the harder question-the one about whether or not she was pregnant, and after he talks to her and hands her the pregnancy test, he will be in for the most shocking news yet.

"You scared the living hell out of me by telling me you didn't have your...you know...stuff," he says in the clip. "I bought that for you. I want reassurance."

"Bates I'm not...I had my period," Rena then replies.

With that, Bates realizes that meeting with her again was a big mistake for him-and he regrets the decision.

"I wanted to see you again, but now I feel this was a big d-n mistake," he says before leaving her car.
