Michael Brown Verdict: Teen's Father Is Asking For Peace No Matter The Outcome, Wants 'Positive Change' [VIDEO]
As Ferguson, Mo. and people all around the world anxiously await the verdict on the Michael Brown case, civil protest and unrest are at an all time high in the streets of the suburban town.
Brown's death, which occurred back in August of this year, has sparked a series of protests and unrest in the St. Louis suburban area, in part because it is believed that Brown was shot due to racial tensions between the black community and the Ferguson Police Department.
Officers around the world are preparing for what could be very frightening and challenging days ahead. As the verdict has yet to be released, demonstrations around the country have led to extra security.
According to ABC News, two protestors were arrested last night after starting fights with police officers in Ferguson and the police officials are preparing for large crowds and civil unrest in the days to come.
In a recent sit down, Brown's father has asked that protesters remain calm and peaceful while participating in local rallies.
In this PSA, which can be seen in the video below, Michael Brown Sr. admits that he and his family are hurting, but it is crucial that people remain positive.
"Hurting others and destroying others is not the answer. No matter what the grand jury decides, I do not want my son's death to be in vain. I want it to lead to incredible change, positive change, change that makes the St. Louis region better for everyone."
