McKayla Maroney Meme; Not Impressed With Gabby Douglas, Harry Potter, or Kristen Stewart [PHOTOS]
Mckayla Maroney is the face of the first 2012 Olympics meme. She has quickly become an Internet sensation. The now famous photograph of the gymnast seemingly not impressed by her silver win in the Vault event on Sunday has become a viral meme via Tumblr.
The photograph of Mckayla Maroney not impressed became a phenomenon when a New York Internet designer named Gavin Alaoen registered the domain name, "mckaylaisnotimpressed," on Tumblr Tuesday night.
Since then, Alaoen has photoshopped the image of Maroney with the silver medal around her neck, crossed arms, and a disappointed scowl--clearly not impressed. The meme can be seen with various backgrounds including one with fellow gymnast: Gabby Douglas, Jesus Christ, and Kristen Stewart caught cheating on Robert Pattinson.
The blog has only been published less than 72 hours and it already has over 1200 followers, Alaoen says. Although this meme has been a success, Alaoen knows that Internet sensations do not last forever.
"It's just a two-or-three-week kind of thing," Alaoen said. "It's a hot topic right now. And then it's onto the next one."
However, even Maroney is enjoying the humor of the meme while it lasts.
"This tumblr is kinda funny, made me laugh," she wrote on Twitter, posting a link to the site.
Other backgrounds for the "not impressed' photo include Justin Bieber, Usain Bolt, Drake and Chris Brown, Power Rangers, the Eiffel Tower, the NBC building, and Magic Mike.
Alaoen has even uploaded a version of the meme that users can cut and use to make their own submission.

Maroney, 16, was taped teaching the Dougie, a popular, sexy dance to the Jenna Bush, the former president's daughter. Maroney and the rest of the US Olympics gymnastics team were on a double-decker bus touring London with Bush when the Dougie dance lessons were captured on video.
Bush, who is a correspondent on the Today Show, was amused by Maroney's impromptu dance lesson. However, Bush's rendition of the Dougie was not as smooth as Maroney.
