After quite a hiatus, Frank Ocean released a short new song titled "Memrise," which could potentially appear on his upcoming album.

The singer, 27, posted the song on his Tumblr page on Thanksgiving along with the song's lyrics.

Read the lyrics below:

"I memorized the wayward expressions. Never look down. Never let you see me down. I memorized the way no directions. Can I come over now? I'd like to stay a little while. I memorized your body exposed. I could f**k you all night long, from a memory alone.

I never forget a face. Don't go plastic on me. Nothing's set in stone. You're not dipped in gold, dipped in gold. You can't breathe if you're dipped in gold. You are not on paper. You are not a copy. You're so, you're so.. so thick, so thick."

Ocean has been busy working on the follow-up to his debut album Channel Orange, which was released in 2012. In an interview with MTV last April, Ocean explained the direction he's going with the new record.

"When I was making the first [album] there were a group of artists that I listened to, just for inspiration and to absorb the energies," he said. "It was a lot of Stevie Wonder, and this time it's a lot of Beach Boys and Beatles and whatnot, so we'll see how it trickles into the music and the final product. I can't say much other than that."

In another interview with BBC Radio 1 host Zane Lowe last year, Ocean revealed that he's already completed about 11 songs for his next project. He commented on the upcoming album by saying, "It's another cohesive thing, bordering on a concept record again."
