'Chrisley Knows Best' Cast: Todd & Julie Dish On Being Real For Show 'You Get What You Get' [VIDEO]
Fans are getting acquainted with the Chrisley clan once again in the sophomore season of USA's Chrisley Knows Best and patriarch Todd Chrisley and his wife Julie Chrisley recently spoke with MSNBC on how his family is portrayed on reality television.
Todd Chrisley Dishes On How His Family has Changed Since Debut On Reality TV
When asked if their tough lough and hilarious parenting styles are more exaggerated for cameras, the two both agreed, "They're not."
Todd said, "This is us. That was part of our deal. That there would be no scripting. You get what you get. We're not gonna do multiple retakes or what have you. You get what you get."
Todd Chrisley Responds To Kyle Chrisley's Allegations That He's Gay 'I'm Not Insulted'
He confessed that he does indeed "manage" his children in the same method that he uses to run his business.
"I want to make sure they know there's a consequence for every action that they have... We've had a come to Jesus meeting on multiple occasions."
They also opened up about a scene in the premiere in which their youngest daughter Savannah went on her first date with a boy named Spencer, who happened to be a former contestant on American Idol.
Todd made it clear, "I don't trust no boy that comes into my door. Or one that goes out of it," he said referring to their mischievous sons.
Julie said what she enjoys most about the show is being able to work with their children in what would have normally been their teenage years where they grow apart.
