The world of Vikings is sailing into a dark season 3 with two new promos.

'Vikings' Season 3 Spoilers: CGI For Massive Paris Battle, What Is Ragnar's Plan?

The History Channel show will return in February, and fans of Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) and his warriors can get their first look at the upcoming season since the July Comic-Con teaser.

The first new promo (see video here) opens with a premonition from Kettegat's resident seer (John Kavanagh).

"Stone and bones," the soothsayer rasps as the trailer flicks between Athelstan (George Blagden), Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick), and Ragnar. "I see life splitting, joining, and stopping, and for this, you must be patient."

Although the seer's predictions are generally broad, series creator Michael Hirst was able to shed a little more light on season 3.

"We're in a new place, because Ragnar is a king now," HIrst told Entertainment Weekly. "Halfway through season three, we're going to attack Paris - there's a famous Vikings attack on the city of Paris...So we have this new scale, we have Ragnar as a king with everything that entails, in terms of responsibility and his own wishes and desires."

Check out the series' upcoming battles in the video below.

In the meantime, Bjorn will start to come into his own as he continues to grow, and fans may have to say goodbye to Athelstan before the season is through.
