Thomas Has Something To Smile About On 'Downton Abbey?'
On Sunday, Express revealed some details from Hugh Bonneville (Lord Grantham) who mentioned that series creator Julian Fellowes may not want to keep the series on for too long mainly because it's taking up a lot of his time.
"This is all written by one person and there's only so much he can do," Bonneville said. "There will be a natural end."

There has been some consideration on when exactly the British drama could go off the air; it could go on for at least a few more years, but Fellowes might want to let it go while the show is in a good spot.
"Gareth Neame [Downton's producer] has said he reckons it will run between five and 10 years, so we've made it to halfway," Bonneville said. "I'm sure Julian will want to quit while he's ahead."
As busy as Fellowes might be, Neame reportedly mentioned that the creator is considering bringing the series into the Gilded Age at some point, an idea that is in "very early stages."
"It's still an idea, and hasn't really moved into the production stage yet," Neame said. "That's a way off."
Downton Abbey Season 5 is set to air in the United States on Sunday, January 4 at 9 p.m. ET on PBS.
