The Voice's Top 8 took the stage on Monday night to battle their way into the Top 5.

Following the Top 10 eliminations, Team Adam Levine still has three contestants while Team Gwen Stefani and Team Pharrell Williams each have two. Team Blake Shelton, normally a powerhouse, has already been whittled down to just one performer.

As the NBC series inches towards the finals, each contestant has the chance to move on either by the public's vote, the Instant Save, or by gaining extra voter points by landing their latest song on the iTunes top 10. The series generally eliminates two contestants per night, but three hopefuls will take their final bows on Tuesday.

On Monday evening, Team Gwen's beleaguered Ryan Sill opened the round with his rendition of Journey's Open Arms. Sill's teammate, Taylor John Williams, later chose to perform Lorde's Royals.

Team Pharrell's DaNica Shirey and Luke Wade took on Heart's These Dreams and Simply Red's Holding Back the Years, respectfully, and Team Blake's Craig Wayne Boyd sang The Eagles' Take It Easy.

The still packed Team Adam consisted of Damien, who performed Adele's Someone Like You; Chris Jamison, who gave his rendition of Marvin Gaye's Sexual Healing; and Matt McAndrew, who tried his hand at Damien Rice's The Blower's Daughter.
