'Avengers 2' Reshoots: Which 'Age Of Ultron' Cast Members Were Called Back? Joss Whedon Plans January Filming [VIDEO]
The Avengers 2 cast will head back to England for reshoots in January.
'Avengers 2' Ultron: Andy Serkis Details Creation Of James Spader's Villain
Well, at least most of Earth's Mightiest Heroes and their evil counterparts will be in attendance, according to the Daily Mail. Chris Evans (Captain America/Steve Rogers) and James Spader (Ultron) will be conspicuously absent.
Meanwhile, Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man/Tony Stark), Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk/Bruce Banner), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye/Clint Barton), Paul Bettany (The Vision), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff) and Tom Hiddleston (Loki) will report to Pinewood Studios for two weeks at the start of the new year.
Reshoots are fairly typical, and fans shouldn't panic. Unless writer/director Joss Whedon is reworking large chunks of the film - which seems unlikely given the short two-week schedule - the last minute changes are unlikely to create any major changes.
What is interesting to note, however, is that Captain America was left off the list. Some sites have speculated that this means the First Avenger is either seriously wounded or already walking a solitary road towards Civil War. This is assuming the film is only shooting a post-credit scene. Alternately, Evans could simply not be in any of the scenes that need retooling.
Meanwhile, Loki, whose involvement was kept quite until a few weeks ago, is needed for reshoots without Idris Elba (Heimdall). Elba revealed that the two share a scene together, and his absence could mean that Loki will have more than just a brief appearance.
