The Voice's Top 8 left their hearts out on the stage Monday night, but the journey will come to an end for three of them tonight; however, their performances all led to incredible reactions on Twitter and elsewhere.
'The Voice's Ryan Sill Claims He's 'The Cat With Nine Lives'
Last night, DaNica Shirey, Luke Wade, Ryan Sill, Taylor John Williams, Craig Wayne Boyd, Matt McAndrew, Chris Jamison and Damien gave it their all to try and secure spots in the Top 5.
Team Pharrell's Shirey dominated last night with her rendition of Heart's These Dreams. Watch her performance below. Blake Shelton told her after her performance, "You've been one of my favorites from the beginning." Her Coach Pharrell Williams got sentimental when he said, "So much strength and accuracy. Her performance really captivated many including Midnight Red's Colton Rudloff. He called Shirey his "pal" and insisted that all of his 163K followers should vote for her. Check out his tweets below.
Another contestant who smashed it last night happens to be Team Gwen's Sill, the self-proclaimed cat with nine lives. Adam Levine told him after he performed Journey's Open Arms, which can be seen below, "[You] killed it." His coach told him, I had tears in my eyes because I'm so proud of you. You deserve to be here."
Gwen Stefani even took to Twitter to share that Sill deserves to be in the Top 5. She even included two clapping hands emojis.
Another stellar performance, which definitely blew people away, was from Team Adam's McAndrew. His rendition of Damien Rice's The Blower's Daughter was so emotionally raw. Check it out below. Shelton told McAndrew, "I've never heard that song before, and I'm so glad, because that's the version of the song that I want to be my induction to that song," McAndrew's coach said with great praise, "Love is this crazy thing. It's beautiful and blissful and happy and wonderful. It's also brutal and painful and excrutiating at times. When you can embody that and when you can exude that as an artist, and you can show people that, that to me is the most valuable thing."
Taylor Phelan who was part of Team Adam earlier this season even tweeted McAndrew congratulating him on his performance. See the tweet below.
