It looks as though Bethenny Frankel doesn't want to make the same mistakes she made in the past by making her personal life public. Rumor has it that the returning Real Housewives of New York star is banning her boyfriend Michael Cerussi from appearing on the hit Bravo show.

According to Radar Online on Tuesday, Frankel wants to make sure that her relationship with the financial banker stays under wraps, both on and off screen.
A source close to the single mom told the site, "Bethenny is being very secretive about Michael, and their relationship whenever she has been filming. For her this time, she doesn't want there to be a strong focus on her personal life."

The insider added, "Expect Michael to pop up in scenes, but it won't be in depth. Bethenny wants to keep the relationship private for several obvious reasons."
What's more, Frankel is supposedly keeping things off camera because she doesn't want her ex-husband Jason Hoppy to use the show as a reason to slam her in court, as they are currently still in the middle of their divorce proceedings.
The source explained, "Her never-ending divorce to Jason Hoppy is the main issue," the source explained. "She doesn't want him to point to anything she has done with Michael and use it against her in court."
Frankel also doesn't want to do anything that she might regret and have to explain to her 4-year-old daughter, Bryn, later.
"Being legally married, with the divorce still pending, Bethenny is going to have to explain this all to their daughter, Bryn, when she gets older. Bethenny wants to be able to tell Bryn she handled everything with class and dignity."
Frankel and Hoppy announced their divorce back in December 2012.
