Judging by the first two seasons, a publication previewed season 3 of House of Cards, and offered a rather bleak image for fans.

Remmy Lands A Really Great Job In Season 3 Of House of Cards

The Guardian's Stuart Heritage stated that he was a bit wary about how the next chapter might pan out after having been quite impressed by season 2. The critic went off the first two seasons, and didn't believe that the bar was set too high, and fans shouldn't expect as much. After giving the show it's due, with its popularity and how viewers, including himself, can't help binge watching the Netflix series, Heritage went into what was essentially wrong with the show:

"That said, it's hard to know how excited you should actually be about the return of House of Cards. Because, even if you devoured it in huge chunks like I did, it's hard to shake the suspicion that the last season wasn't particularly great. It almost felt like it blew out all its energy in the first episode - with the snarling and the cufflinks and the subway platform - because very quickly after that, it bogged itself down in all manner tedious subplots and endless negotiations that went nowhere."

Filming For Season 3 Of House of Cards Almost Through?

His other criticisms had to do with the Netflix series' plot not diverges too much from the storyline of the original BBC series it is inspired by. Heritage also stated that HBO's Veep had taken away from the successes of House of Cards.

This is the first preview of sorts to have come out about the show, and doesn't opine well about season 3.

It was also recently revealed that season 3 will release on February 27, 2015. On December 1, the special declaration was made via the political drama's official Twitter account, with a 12 second clip, showing Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) boarding the Air Force One. The view of Frank, accompanied by his wife Claire (Robin Wright) taking the stairs to the entrance is seen from inside the plane, through window frames. The return date of February 27, 2015 appears in red at the end of the clip.

The third season of House of Cards is currently filming in Maryland, where the first and second seasons were also shot. Initially, the continuation of filming of the third season of the Netflix series was fraught with troubles over the past few weeks as the producers weren't getting permission from the State of Maryland. But the issue was finally resolved on April 25.
