After the recent release of the Jurassic World trailer, the critics and pop culture analysts are flooding the internet with all sorts of theories and predictions about the movie. The latest has to do with the trailer bearing a very strong similarity with the original 1994 preview for Jurassic Park.

A new clip online splices the two trailers, and spots how they are strikingly identical, in the way they progress and the moments they highlight in the movies. The Huffington Post also discussed the similiarities spurred by this video.

But prior to the trailer release, as more details about Jurassic World's plot started to emerge, the initially rumored premise of the movie being a reboot of the original, Jurassic Park, seemed to be less true.

Who Is Likely To Fall Prey To the Dinosaurs In Jurassic World?

Earlier this year, CEO of the studio behind Jurassic World, Legendary Pictures, Thomas Tull spoke about the fourth movie in the iconic dino franchise. Tull was interviewed by Total Film and he spoke about the fact that the film might evoke Jurassic Park.

"It's a fantastic script and story, I loved [Colin's] first movie and the opportunity for us to work with Frank Marshall and Steven Speilberg and this world is really exciting," he said. "The first film was one of my favorite movies of all time and I think you'll see some of that DNA."

In March, the images of the concept art for the park also evoked the visual imagery of Jurassic Park. The elaborate structure reveals that this is a carefully constructed theme park like that in the 1993 film. That observation was bolstered by the fact that Dr. Henry Wu, played by B.D. Wong, who featured in the 1993 original will be returning.

The movie has been directed by Colin Trevorrow and stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D'Onofrio, Irrfan Khan, Ty Simpkins, Jake Johnson and Judy Greer.

The Jurassic Park films are based on Michael Crichton's series of novels about pre-historic beasts being revived by revolutionary gene technology. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are co-producing the film alongside Steven Spielberg, who directed the first two installments in the franchise. Irrfan Khan and Ty Simpkins also star in the movie.

The film will hit theaters on June 12, 2015.
