The episode will also serve as the second installment for Rebekah's (Claire Holt) two-episode return and while the actress has often claimed that she enjoys returning to the series, she might not be able to reprise her role again for quite some time.
According to TheWrap on Monday, Holt is currently up for the role of Supergirl in a comic-book adaptation which has already scored a full season commitment from CBS. If the actress does land the leading role, she could become too busy to reappear on The Originals anytime soon.
The Supergirl series will be produced by Greg Berlanti. He is one of the produces for Arrow and The Flash, both of which share a network with The Originals. The CW has never been afraid to swap actors for guest roles, but if Holt moves to CBS her return to the popular CW series might become more difficult.
The Originals continues on The CW with its second season Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
