It was a real blood bath on FX's Sons of Anarchy Tuesday night as no less than three significant characters died in the penultimate episode.

MAJOR spoilers ahead for Sons of Anarchy:

Sons of Anarchy pulled off three huge deaths during Tuesday night's penultimate episode of the series. Heading into the series finale, SOA will be without Juice (Theo Rossi), Unser (Dayton Callie) and, most significant of all, Gemma (Katey Sagal). The show's fans expressed their multitude of feelings about each of these deaths on Twitter Tuesday night.

The death of Juice was seemingly felt most by the fanbase, considering he was one of the more rootable characters on the series. The troubled character was stabbed to death by Ron Tully (Marilyn Manson) in a prison fight during Tuesday night's episode. Twitter reacted with great sadness at the turn of events, even getting #RIPJuice to trend worldwide.

The next big death was Unser, who was shot and killed by Jax (Charlie Hunnam) during his confrontation with both him and Gemma. While the reaction to Unser's death was a bit less fevered on Twitter, some were shocked by the brutality of it.

Finally, Gemma's death prompted a variety of different reactions on Twitter. Gemma was shot and killed by Jax at the end of Tuesday night's episode while she looked fondly on the garden of flowers. The character was easily one of the most hated by the fanbase, though many still loved her for what she brought to the show.

With so much death in just the penultimate episode, one can only imagine what will go down in the big series finale next week. Will Jax make it out alive and ride into the sunset or will he suffer a gruesome fate?

Sons of Anarchy will airs its series finale on Tuesday, Dec. 9 starting at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
