'Pretty Little Liars' Season 5: Will Emily & Alison Get Together? Marlene King Talks Emison [VIDEO]
Pretty Little Liars' Alison DiLaurentis and Emily Fields will not become an item.
The two teens are not destine for love, according to TV Guide, and series creator Marlene King believes that is definitely in Emily's best interest.
"It's so funny to me that, even with what we've seen of Ali to date, that there's such an overwhelming amount of fans who still want to see Alison with Emily," King told TV Guide.
That doesn't mean the two won't interact. Emily (Shay Mitchell) is still smarting over Alison's (Sasha Pieterse) recent mind games, and Ms. Fields will deal with those emotions when the series' Christmas episode opens.
"Emily feels like she has been betrayed by Alison," King explained to TV Guide. "That's where we begin the episode and that's very much a part of her story."
Titled "How the 'A' Stole Christmas," the upcoming special will focus on the Liars' attempts to clear Spencer's name. As they do so, Mona (Janel Parrish) will come back to haunt Alison, taking her on a Christmas Carol journey as the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future.
