First seen in season 5's "Ho'oilina" and "Ho'oma'ike," the Assistant District Attorney will feature in at least one more episode this season, according to TV Line.
Ellie is portrayed by Mirrah Foulkes and is seen by many viewers as a potential love interest for Steve McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin). Although McGarrett recently announced that his relationship with Catherine Rollins had come to an end, executive producer Peter Lenkov previously billed Ellie as strictly a new friend for the Five-0 leader.
"Everybody's selling it as a love interest, but really it's a friendship," Lenkov explained to TV Line. "McGarrett meets a woman on the anniversary of his father's death, and they share the common trauma of both losing a parent very early on. And that's going to play into an arc."
Part of the pair's arc will involve the lawyer and the Navy SEAL getting physical, but not in the way that 'shippers would hope. Instead, the duo will face off in the boxing ring, reports TV Line.
