'Longmire' Twitter Stampedes Finally Come To An End

On Tuesday the Santa Fe Reporter announced that Warner Horizon will be casting extras for the show on Saturday.

The casting session, helmed by casting director Robert Baxter, will last six hours. Anticipating many first-timers, the show will be offering free headshots by photographer Craig Clark for those who don't have any already.

'Longmire' Fans Flock To Netflix

While being a fan of the series is not required, the show does have plenty of followers who could be looking to score time on set.

Longmire fans were shocked when the popular series was cancelled by A&E after three seasons. The network's highest-rated scripted series and second highest-rated series overall behind Duck Dynasty, the show's passionate viewers quickly started an online campaign to revive the program. Cast, crew, and fans banned together in what could be one of the largest-scale moves to keep a show going in the history of television.

In November, the series was picked up by Netflix.

Those interested in becoming an extra should meet outside the Jean Cocteau Cinema by the hair and make-up trailer at 4189 Montezuma Avenue, Santa Fe, New Mexico on Saturday, Dec. 6. Casting will take from between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Longmire will likely return for its fourth season on Netflix during the second half of 2015.
