Just when it seemed that HBO was done with casting for True Detective's second season, the network has added one more name to the roster that Dexter fans will be sure to recognize.

Chris Rock Slams 'True Detective' For Racial Inequality

On Thursday The Hollywood Reporter reported that actor C.S. Lee has officially joined the hit crime drama.

Lee is best known for playing Vince Masuka, the oft awkward and frequently inappropriate lab technician on Showtime's Dexter. No stranger to the crime genre, this time around Lee will be playing an ambitious state attorney general by the name of Richard Geldof for the HBO series.

'True Detective' Nominated For Producers Guild Awards

Lee is only the latest in a long line of well-recognized actors to be cast for the second season of Nic Pizzolatto's highly anticipated drama. One of the first ones cast, actor Vince Vaughn (Into The Wild) will be playing career criminal Frank Semyon, with Colin Farrell (Minority Report), Rachel McAdams (A Most Wanted Man), and Taylor Kitsch (Lone Survivor) as police officers Ray Velcro, Anil Bezzerides and Paul Woodrugh, respectively.

Set in California, the new season will follow the political conspiracy which begins to form after a recent murder. Barely a month into production, Pizzolatto is penning all of the episodes. Multiple directors will be stepping in throughout the season beginning with action veteran Justin Lin, best known for the Fast & Furious franchise.

True Detective will return on HBO for a second season mid-2015.
