'Justice League' Movie News: Details On Jason Momoa's Deal With DC Revealed, Actor Will Be In Four-Picture Deal [VIDEO]
With the big announcement by DC Comics, it was revealed that a large slate of movies are on the way as part of their new universe. But how long is each star staying? It seems like we now have an idea on one of the major actors.
'Wonder Woman' Finds A Writer & Could Take The Character Into The Past
DCU Movie Page tweeted out details on Sunday about the deal that Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa has in place with Warner Bros./DC and what that could mean for the character he will be playing, Aquaman.
According to the site, Momoa has a contract that will have him playing Aaron Curry/Aquaman for four movies. There is no confirmation yet if that includes Batman v Superman or if that will be classified as a cameo.
Another Film Could Be Entering DC's Cinematic Universe By A Famous Director
They added that Momoa wants Man of Steel and Justice League director Zack Snyder to also helm the Aquaman film as the actor is a big fan of the director's work. It also seems like Momoa has been locked into the role for awhile now, but just recently was allowed to talk about it.
The site also posted a quote by Momoa saying that "Aquaman will be a bad-a--, otherwise, they wouldn't cast me for the role."
The four-picture deal seems very similar to what Marvel does with their actors, but to an even bigger degree since some of their major players like Chris Hemsworth signed six-picture ones. The only question behind that is whether that deal includes his Batman v Superman appearance, and if so, that would mean we will see the character in that movie, both Justice League ones, and the solo film.
If not, it could mean that Momoa will appear in other films or could have a sequel to Aquaman planned also.
