The Jodi Arias retrial is turning out to be as long-winded as the initial trial.

Jodi Arias' Defense's Team's IT Expert Calls Prosecutor Juan Martinez A Liar On Stand

On Monday, the retrial resumed, but was cut short since Judge Sherry Stephens ordered the jurors to return next Monday, Dec. 15 after a status conference played out mainly at Stephens' bench as reported by USA Today.

Arias' lead defense attorney, Kirk Nurmi, reiterated to Judge Stephens that he has three witnesses who refuse to testify publicly and that he would like to wait until he can take an appeals court order forbidding secret testimony to the Arizona Supreme Court.

Apparently other witnesses are unavailable due to scheduling conflicts too as reported by USA Today.

The jurors may be excused until next Monday; however, there will be an evidentiary hearing this Thursday, Dec. 11. The hearing will determine whether the prosecution's intent to seek the death penalty should be thrown out because of defense allegations that police and the prosecutor lied about pornography on Travis Alexander's computer and tried to delete it.

Last week, Arias' defense team had an IT expert on stand that called Juan Martinez a liar during cross-examination while discussing the alleged porn on the computer.

Outside of the courtroom, Arias' parents have taken to YouTube to thank those who have donated to fund their daughter's legal team and have asked for further donations too. The video can be seen below.
