Recently Kevin Spacey, who plays Frank Underwood, congratulated the writing team of House of Cards for scoring a nomination at the Writers Guild of America Awards.

Spacey commended the team of writers via Twitter on December 6:
"Thought my hands hurt, how do real writers do it!? Congrats to @HouseOfCards for Writers Guild of America Award nom!"
On December 1, the special announcement was about the premiere date of season 3 was made via the political drama's official Twitter account, with a 12 second clip, showing Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) boarding the Air Force One. The view of Frank, accompanied by his wife Claire (Robin Wright) taking the stairs to the entrance is seen from inside the plane, through window frames. The return date of February 27, 2015 appears in red at the end of the clip.
With a recent tweet, showrunner Beau Willimon hinted that the last leg of filming for season 3 of House of Cards was underway.
On November 15, Willimon tweeted from Los Angeles, appreciation the sunny weather of the west coast:
"Hola LA! Dig the warmth & sun. Short visit but I'll soak it up while I can. Then back to east to finish@HouseofCards"
This would mean filming for the Netflix political drama is almost through
The third season of House of Cards is currently filming in Maryland, where the first and second seasons were also shot. Initially, the continuation of filming of the third season of the Netflix series was fraught with troubles over the past few weeks as the producers weren't getting permission from the State of Maryland. But the issue was finally resolved on April 25.
