Robert Pattinson on Wall Street: Actor Rings Opening Bell at NY Stock Exchange (VIDEO)
Robert Pattinson rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Tuesday Aug. 14, several hours after hitting the red carpet premier for his new film "Cosmopolis."
Pattinson was accompanied by the film's director David Cronenberg. The 26-year-old was sharply dressed in a navy suit and blue tie for the Financial District's daily morning ritual.
The appearance on Wall Street is the third time the "Twilight" star has stepped out since his breakup with Kristen Stewart following her cheating scandal with "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders.
Jon Stewart interviewed Pattinson on "The Daily Show" on Monday and the actor tried his best to avoid any questions about the cheating scandal that went public with Kristen Stewart and Sanders.
"Are you all right?" the television host asked. "Is everything OK? I'm worried about you, and you're all right?"
"Listen, the last time I had a bad breakup, Ben and Jerry got me through some of the tougher times," the host told Pattinson. "So, I thought you and I could bond over this and talk about, 'Boy, you are better off. Kick her to the curb! Whatever!"
Pattinson has two live interviews scheduled this week: "Good Morning America" on Wednesday and MTV on Thursday.
He will chat with MTV News' Josh Horowitz for a 30-minute interview, the website added.
MTV will accept questions for Pattinson from fans beginning today through MTV.com or via Twitter using @MTVNews and the hash-tag #AskRob.
"Cosmpolis" is a thriller where Pattinson plays a young billionaire who goes through a series of harsh life events throughout the course of the day. The movie will arrive in theaters Aug. 17.
