Actor Says Everyone Will Have 'Intense Storylines' When 'Downton Abbey' Returns

On Tuesday, CTV News posted the information that came from executive producer Gareth Neame during an a Q&A appearance hosted by PBS on Monday night. Someone in the audience pointed out that some of the characters have relatives in New York- so does this mean there might be a vacation to America in future episodes?

Apparently, Neame seemed pretty open to an opportunity like this, but it's not going to be cheap. According to the site, this would cost roughly $10 million.

Is Mrs. Patmore Going To Be More Domineering On 'Downton Abbey?'

Fans might want to step away from this possibility for now, but perhaps it could happen if things went accordingly.

There has been plenty of speculation on what the future holds for the British drama, including the possibility of the series getting a movie. According to Express, Phyllis Logan (Mrs. Hughes) didn't seem too sure about this, but she's hoping that she'll at least stick around for that much longer.

"Nobody has approached me, so I hope they're not bumping me off," she said. "I'll have to have a word!"

The actress also revealed that she has to be careful when it comes to letting any spoilers out on what's to come.

"My husband usually goes through my lines with me, but for the Christmas special he said no one as he wants to watch it on Christmas Day like everyone else," she said.

Downton Abbey Season 5 will premiere in the United States on Sunday, January 4 at 9 p.m. ET on PBS.
