'Avengers 3' Movie Cast: Shailene Woodley Wants To Do Marvel Movie, Could Playing Captain Marvel Be Perfect Role For Her? [VIDEO]
It seems like everyone and their sister is getting into the Marvel game in Hollywood. Did you know we just had a year with Robert Redford and Glenn Close in them? Now it seems like one of the hottest names right now is also looking to get into the action.
Doctor Strange Could Be Coming To 'Captain America 3' To Team-Up With This Hero
In an interview on Friday with MTV, Shailene Woodley talked about her affinity for Marvel movies and whether or not she would like to make one at some point.
"Hell yeah. I would love to be in a superhero movie if it was Marvel. I think Marvel, and Fox does as well, their movies are so much fun to watch and they just take you on a ride. I like how they're all interconnected," she said.

"I respond to independent films when I want to watch movies because I love to feel affected, but there's something about going to those big blockbuster films where you watch people fly across the sky or have long stretchy arms or supernatural powers that is escapism."
Cinema Blend speculated on what role Woodley would fit, and with the role of Captain Marvel open right now, they suspected that Marvel could take a look at the actress for that.
According to the site, Carol Danvers might not be the best fit for Woodley. For one thing, her age is working against her. In the comics, Carol is an officer in the United States Air Force when she obtains her powers, meaning she's been in the military for awhile.
Woodley is currently 23, and while she is good at giving dramatic performances, it may be difficult for her to convince audiences that she's this mature, seasoned military officer. With the movie coming out in 2018, and her being around 25 or 26 at that time, it may not be a fit.
But at the same time, they make the point that some actresses can work the age to their advantage and add the fact that Scarlett Johansson was only 24 when she played Black Widow in Iron Man 2.
