'Thor 3' Movie News: Josh Brolin May Have Dropped That He Appears In Marvel Movies In 2016 & 2017, Does That Mean A Trip To Asgard? [VIDEO]
After appearing this year for the first time as the famous bad guy, Thanos, it seems like more appearances are on the way for Josh Brolin as the Mad Titan. But what films is he currently eyeing to come aboard within the Phase 3 plans?
Idris Elba Doesn't Know Where The Claims That He Hates Working At Marvel Came From
In an interview with Nuke The Fridge on Sunday, Brolin talked about the future of Thanos and when we may be allowed to see him prior to the big shakedown with The Avengers: Infinity War.
"The fact that it's so, it's like, Yeah in 2016 and '17, what am I going to be doing? Oh, I'm going to be doing that,'" he said. "I'm very lucky in that way, man. I just get presented these things and I go wow, really? Why now and why this? The possibilities for Thanos are unlimited."
Idris Elba Could Be Tired Of Being In Marvel, May Want To Move To This Other Superhero
In 2016, Marvel has Captain America: Civil War and Doctor Strange coming out and in 2017, they have Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Thor: Ragnarok, and Black Panther. While the two 2016 films seem unlikely, two of the films in 2017 could be options.
Brolin's Thanos first appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy so it would seem likely that another appearance could be on the way, but the one that could have the most impact moving forward is in Thor 3.
Right now, the infinity gauntlet and some of the stones are in Odin's safe in Asgard and with Thor's homeworld in peril for the next movie, it could be the perfect opportunity for Thanos to show up and steal what he is looking for. Whether that happens during the movie, or afterwards, it seems likely that the character will show up in Asgard at some point.
As for 2016, it seems unlikely that an appearance, outside of a post-credit tease, would happen in the Captain America movie and depending on the amount of space that will be in Doctor Strange, it could make for a cameo in that film.
