Fans Call 'The Fosters' Christmas Special 'AMAZING'
It could be a while before news of a renewal or a cancellation gets announced since the series has yet to finish its second season.
But in a recent interview with Gay Star News, Bredeweg and producer Peter Paige both dished on why they love the series so much.
"I love the fact that we're a show about two people in love and creating a multi-cultural family," Bredeweg said. "That's really what the show's about."
Paige then express how proud he is of the series since it shows that kids who are raised by parents in same-sex relationships are just like any other family.
"I think it's far more threatening for people to see this family that all by accounts looks and feels like every other family," he said. "I'm proud of that."
The Fosters winter premiere airs on Monday, January 19 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
