Somewhere out there, AMC's Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner is probably not very happy.

'Mad Men' Series Finale Spoilers

Often an award show favorite, Mad Men did not receive any nominations for the Golden Globes on Thursday. This means both the series as a whole and star Jon Hamm (Don Draper) won't be contending at all.

According to The Daily Beast on Thursday, this is the third year in a row in which the series has been summed for Best Drama. While Hamm was nominated for Best Actor In A Drama last year, this is the second time total in which the program has gone without a single nomination.

Last month Weiner declared that his cast has always been award-worthy and deserves to be recognized for their achievements.

"One of my great frustrations is that they haven't been recognized more," Weiner told Variety. "None of the actors has ever won an Emmy and they are the gold standard."

With the nostalgia final seasons tend to create, perhaps the show will find better luck next year after the series finale has aired.

Mad Men returns on AMC for the remainder of its seventh and final season in the spring of 2015.
