'James Bond 24' Movie: Nine Cars Specifically Made For The Film Stolen Off The Set, Will This Affect Production? [VIDEO]
As the next James Bond heads into production, it seems like they will need to find some new cars as a report says that some specifically modified vehicles for the film have been stolen.
Sony Hack Reveals That 'Bond 24' Is Massively Over-Budget & Had To Cut This Oscar Nominee
Express reported on Tuesday that nine cars from the German set of the movie were specifically made for the movie and were getting set to transport to the Alps for filming next week. Five of the cars stolen were Range Rover Sports that were made for the movie.
The site added that it is not known if the Range Rovers were fitted with typical super-spy gadgets, but it is likely that new cars will have to be built due to their specific requirements for the film. German police admit they can't find any trace of the missing vehicles amid claims the theft could delay location filming.
'Spectre' Director Says That 'Big Shadows From (James) Bond's Past' Will Resurface In This Movie
The report didn't mention the newly announced Aston Martin DB-10 that is going to be the Bond car for the film so as of now, that vehicle is fine.
This doesn't bode will for a movie that was hit yesterday with major budget issues after the Sony hack revealed that the film was going to be one of the most expensive ever made with a budget of nearly $300 million. While Sony wanted to cut it down to around $250 million, producers insisted the money had to stay where it was.
There is no word yet as to what kind of delay this will have on the production as it was stated in the report that production was expected to head there next week. Sets have been built in Austria, where the film was headed, for weeks now.
Spectre is expected to hit theaters on November 6, 2015.
