Both Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) want to save their sister Rebekah (Claire Holt) on The Originals, but it's possible that the brothers might not agree on what saving her means when The CW drama continues with its second season in January.

Why Marrying Hayley Could Be The Death Of Jackson On 'The Originals'

Rebekah sacrificed her immortality during the midseason finale on Monday in order to take down Esther (Sonja Sohn), but now that the original vampire is trapped in the body of a mortal witch, the Mikaelson brothers might not agree on how to proceed.

Throughout the episode Rebekah and Elijah discussed the merits of mortality and being able to start families of their own, while Klaus of course emphasized why their mother's offer to make them mortal could not be trusted. It's possible then that Elijah will encourage Rebekah to stay in her mortal body, while Klaus will urge her to return to her former self.

Producer Insists Body Swapping Won't Change 'The Originals'

During season one Klaus and Elijah found themselves at odds on how to unite the French Quarter after they seized power from Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) and this season the pair have argued over what is best for new hybrid Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin).

With their track record, it's more than likely that they will disagree on how to help Rebekah. Of course, they will have to find her first.

Kol (Daniel Sharman) secretly hid Rebekah away in a body that Klaus had trapped in an old house decades before, and so she will not be easily found by her dutiful siblings.

The Originals will return on The CW to continue with its second season on Monday, January 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
