Robert Pattinson Promotes 'Cosmopolis' on 'Good Morning America' (VIDEO)
Robert Pattinson made an early morning stop at "Good Morning America" on Wednesday, Aug. 15, to promote his new film "Cosmopolis."
The British star sat down with ABC news anchor George Stephanopolous for the live interview and was given a bowl of his favorite cereal, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, to help him relax.
Stephanopolous gave the cereal to Pattinson to play off of Jon Stewart's interview with Pattinson on "The Daily Show" on Monday, where they both ate Ben & Jerry's ice cream.
"How are you doing" the anchor asked Pattinson on Wednesday." "What do you want your fans to know about what's going on in your personal life?"
"I'd like my fans to know," Pattinson said before pausing. "To know that Cinnamon Toast Crunch has only 30 calories a bowl."
"You go into it to do movies," he added. "I've never been interested in trying to sell my personal life."
When Stephanopoulos asked if he'll ever get used to being in the spotlight, Pattinson replied: "If you start getting used to it, it means you're going crazy."
The 26-year-old then focused on the independent film "Cosmopolis."
He also added that maybe the media should consider focusing on the "interesting" personal lives of billionaires. Pattinson plays a young billionaire in the film.
Pattinson rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Aug. 14, several hours after hitting the red carpet premier for his new film.
He will appear in a live interview with MTV on Thursday. MTV made the announcement on their website about the guest stint titled "MTV First: Robert Pattinson."
"Mark your calendars for Thursday, August 16, when Pattinson will premiere a new clip from his upcoming and buzz worthy film 'Cosmopolis' on MTV at 7: 49 p.m. ET," stated the website.
Cosmopolis arrives in theaters nationwide on Aug. 17.
