The Downton Abbey Christmas special is coming up and the stars of the series only had nice things to say about it.

Is Lady Mary Going To Find Herself A New Man On 'Downton Abbey?'

In a video clip posted on Monday, Hugh Bonneville (Lord Grantham) says that the reason why audiences should watch the holiday episode is "because it's special and it's Christmas."

Michelle Dockery (Lady Mary) pointed out that there will be snow; it'll be fake snow, but it will still be there nonetheless.

Mary Will Be 'Awful' To Edith On 'Downton Abbey'

Lesley Nicol said that the episode will be "glorious" and "fantastic." Penelope Wilton (Isobel Crawley) then gave a tease by saying that there a lot is going on in the holiday special, but she's not going to reveal what it is.

The cast members then dished on their favorite Christmas films. Some of Dockery's favorites include Home Alone, Die Hard and The Muppet Christmas Carol. The actors mentioned a number of other movies, including It's a Wonderful Life, Elf and Love Actually.

The video can be seen below.

As for how the fifth season of the British drama will begin, Laura Carmichael (Lady Edith) mentioned that her character is going to face some difficulties with Mary after having a child in secret and losing Michael Gregson.

"Mary obviously doesn't know anything that's gone on. She's sort of a bit confused as to why she won't let Gregson go and get on with life...she doesn't realize that they were deeply in love and Edith had his child and had to give it away," Carmichael told Access Hollywood. "It's incredibly painful. It makes those moments when Mary is awful to Edith that much worse."

Downton Abbey Season 5 begins in the United States on Sunday, January 4 at 9 p.m. ET on PBS.
