'Hannibal' Season 3 Spoilers: See The Recast Mason Verger [PHOTO], Michael Pitt Talks Scheduling Issues [VIDEO]
Hannibal has a new Mason Verger.
Michael Pitt brought the demented pig farmer to life in season 2, but TV Line reports that Joe Anderson (Across the Universe) will take on the persona for season 3.
Considering Verger carved off a good portion of his face at Hannibal's (Mads Mikkelsen) behest, a heavy use of prosthetics will make the transition much easier for fans.

Anderson recently posed in the complex makeup, posting a photo of his heavily scarred face on Instagram (see here).
Back in July, Pitt warned that he may have scheduling problems for season 3, but the actor was confident he could find time for the NBC production.
"We're trying to work it out," Pitt told Huffington Post. "The truth is it's really just a scheduling thing. The truth is I have a lot on my plate right now, and I hope it works out. If it doesn't work out, it certainly is about scheduling."
Hannibal is currently filming a series of scenes in Florence, Italy. The psychological thriller will complete the rest of the season back in Toronto.
