On Friday the Grand Ole Opry's Twitter announced the news that Team Blake Shelton's winner Craig Wayne Boyd would be debuting there on Jan. 3.

Boyd just released his first single, My Baby's Got a Smile on Her Face, which his coach was initially said to have penned due to his comments during the finale regarding the song, but Shelton actually only passed it off to Boyd. Stephanie Urbina Jones and Mark Marchetti penned the song as Jones mentioned on her Facebook Saturday. Boyd performed it during the finale of The Voice.

Now, getting to perform at the Grand Ole Opry is a huge deal for any country artist since it's in the heart of Nashville and many of country's biggest stars have graced its stage. People on Twitter for the most part seemed thrilled that Boyd is getting this golden opportunity. Check out some of the reactions below.

Lynnie claimed it's "great," but doesn't think it's fair that Boyd's getting such a huge break just because he was on The Voice.

Jeanne Hopkins called the announcement "a gift" since Jan. 3 is her birthday.

Jenn said, "it's well deserved" along with a few celebratory emojis.

Ginette Lefebvre also believes the announcement is "well deserved."

Sue Daniels stated the announcement is "what country music needs."
