In a recent interview, showrunner Marc Guggenheim, spoke about episode 13, titled Canaries, of season 3 of Arrow, will be crucial to this chapter.

Epic Batman Fight Sequence Inspired Ra's Al Ghul Vs. Oliver Duel In Arrow

Speaking to TVLine, Guggenheim stated that it would be a "very cool episode" in which things will come "full circle." He revealed that Vertigo (Peter Stormare) will be making his comeback in the episode. "It's an episode where a lot of things that we've been doing and setting up during the season really sort of come together," he said. But he was careful to check fans' anticipation suggesting that while it will be quite revelatory and probably feature turning points, it won't be of a "climactic" nature.

"It's not a 'climactic' kind of episode, but there's a feeling of a big payoff by the end of it," he stated.

Thea And Felicity Will Be "Sharing A Lot Of Screen Time" In Second Half Of Season 3 Of Arrow

Meanwhile, there has been a lot of curiousity surrounding the return of the second half of season 3 of Arrowafter the hiatus.

Following the death of Oliver Queen in the mid-season finale of Arrow, actor Stephen Amell took to Facebook to allay fans' concerns about the future of the show and what they can expect from the rest of season 3.

His post was reassuring for fans who seemed to be very dismayed by Oliver's sudden death, and Amell also promised them that the series would only impress them.

Here's his post:

"Facebook. Thank you so much for the enthusiasm spilling out of tonight's fall finale. I've never had anywhere near this amount of feedback.

"Despite the title, our show is bigger than any one character. We're going to prove that to you. Sit tight... January will be here in no time."

The promor for the upcoming episode, set to air after a short hiatus in January, was also recently revealed. In the promo somebody is heard saying Oliver is dead, as the camera pans atop the mountain top, where the duel between Ghul and Oliver took place, showing Oliver's limp body on a rock. That's about all the preview gives away about what fans can expect from the next episode, titled Left Behind, which is to air on January 21.

But while this seems to be the reality of the hour, it does not necessarily mean that Oliver is gone for good. As has been suggested by a Screen Rant report, the character could very well be resuscitated, noting it is a normal occurence in comic books. The piece goes on to specifics which could bring Oliver back to life like the immortalising Lazarus Pit, we were made aware of in the previous episode. The pit is also known to heal deadly wounds, perhaps even bring people back from the dead.
