'The Originals' Season 2 Spoilers: Mikael Might Meet His End In 2015, But Will Klaus Finally Murder Father He's Despised For Centuries? [VIDEO]
Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Mikael (Sebastian Roche) have gone head to head a few times on The CW's The Originals, but it looks like this time could be the last.
Dahlia Is A Whole New 'Sector Of Evil' On 'The Originals'
On Monday TVLine announced that Roche, who has portrayed the infamous Mikael on both The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, will be joining ABC's Once Upon a Time in 2015 as King Stefan, father to Princess Aurora.
Since the latest teaser for The Originals (featured below) is pretty heavy on the Mikael, it's possible that Klaus' father is finally headed towards his demise.

Of course, there are always other options. Mikael does, after all, have a tendency to return from the dead. There are also flashbacks for which Roche could reprise the role. Perhaps Klaus and his witch brothers might even try to place Mikael into a different, mortal body.
This would allow the character to live temporarily or permanently with another actor, as was the case during the midseason when Rebekah (Claire Holt) was put into the body of a witch (Maisie Richardson-Sellers).
Mikael is poised to receive a new ally before he meets his end, declaring that "together we can finally destroy them" during the preview. The "them" likely means his children, but the Mikaelson siblings won't go down without a fight.
The Originals returns on The CW for the remainder of the second season Monday, Jan. 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
