'Real Housewives Of Atlanta' Season 7: NeNe Leakes Responds To Wig Backlash, 'It Comes Off So That's A Good Thing' [PHOTOS]

NeNe Leakes has spoken out after a wig she sported on Bravo's The Real Housewives of Atlanta caused her to be slammed on social media.

While Sunday night's episode of the series was a dramatic one, many eyes were on Leakes' hairstyles during one of the confessionals.

The reality star and actress explained the look to Bravo TV.

"Being a busy business woman is no joke, but I love what I do and create! As a designer, you take risks that sometimes don't work! I think we all can agree the bob wig I wore in my interview didn't work out. I could give you this whole spill about what actually happened that day, but I'd rather not! I will say this though: A wig comes off, so it's a good thing I am comfortable in the skin I am in."

She also added that she was able to laugh at all of the photos placed on social media that took jabs at her hairstyle choice.

"My hubby and I fell out of the bed laughing at some of the stuff we saw!"

She went on to mention that she received an offer to do a wig line the next day.

"Cha-Ching! #ByeWig."

After Leakes debuted her wig Sunday night, several fans took to Twitter and Instagram to share their thoughts.

One wrote, "NeNe's new wig has her looking like Moe from the Three Stooges. #RHOA".

Another tweeted, "clearly NeNe didn't have one of her 'gays' in the room when she decided to wear that awful wig in these confessionals #RHOA" as another added, "Nene's wig is broomtastic. Made from the finest straw, chow mein noodles, and the plastic that Legos are made of. #rhoa".
