Thomas Will Have A 'Harrowing Storyline' On 'Downton Abbey'
On Wednesday, Access Hollywood posted an interview with Michelle Dockery (Mary) who said that her character will be off to a decent start in the fifth season.
"Mary's having fun this year. For me, it's like the new Mary," the actress said. "She's through the grief, she's over that. She's just decided to move on with her life and she's not a dweller."

Dockery then pointed out that her character would definitely like to find love again, but she's just taking things slow right now.
"Of course she wants to find a husband and a father for her child, so she's just kind of seeing what happens," the actress said.
"It's a very sort of new time for her," she added. "It's like the new generation- [it] feels like a new era for Mary."
Mary will have more in her life than just hope of a new romance; she's also going to be working hard to keep Downton going so a new man may or may not come along with that.
"She's taking on the responsibility of the estate, and her and Branson are working together far more this year," Dockery said.
Downton Abbey Season 5 will air in the United States on Sunday, January 4 at 9 p.m. ET on PBS.
