Today marks an anniversary that Kim Kardashian certainly won't be celebrating.

It has been one year today since the reality star wed NBA player Kris Humphries on Aug. 20, 2011 -- a union that lasted only 72 days. But the couple is still legally married as divorce proceedings have dragged on for nearly a year.

Kardashian originally filed for divorce on Oct. 31, 2011, but a divorce still hasn't been granted as Humphries and his legal team continue to seek depositions with Kardashian's family and boyfriend Kanye West.

Lawyers for Kardashian and Humphries met in court on Aug. 15, when Humphries' team said they weren't yet ready for trial. His lawyers say they still need depositions with Kanye West and Kardashian's mom and manager Kris Jenner, as well as copies of Jenner's business records.

"I don't want to use the word uncooperative, but [Kardashian's team] are not making the process easier," said Marshall Waller, Humphries' lawyer, on Aug. 15.

Despite the holdup on the NBA player's end, Kardashian's lawyer says she's ready to get a move on and has already spent about $250,000 in legal fees - which she intends to have Kris pay back.

"To say I'm frustrated is an understatement," said Kardashian's attorney, Laura Wasser. "It's expensive. And I'm at a loss to figure out what the holdup is. They had a prenup and were married 72 days."

Just like their marriage, the couple's courtship was short. The pair dated only six months before getting engaged, which was chronicled on several E! reality series featuring the Kardashian family. The wedding itself was featured on a two-part special called "Kim's Fairytale Wedding."

Rumor has it Kardashian is anxious to get the proceedings over with so she can wed West, but until this trial is completely put to rest, she's still legally married to Humphries.

The next status update for the divorce is set for Nov. 28.
