A new report says Jack Dawkins isn't a complete goner in NBC's State Of Affairs.

On Sunday, Fashion & Style reported that there is going to be a mission to rescue Dawkins from The Revolutionary Forces of Colombia who had kidnapped him.

Dawkins is being held in a Panamanian prison for ransom, and it is up to the CIA to pinpoint his exact location to save him.

Charlie (Katherine Heigl) will reportedly be in Langley to coordinate the Bellerophon operation while Maureen (Sheild Vand) will take on Charlie's former role. Apparently, Maureen will struggle with the position.

The publication also reported that the president and her husband are going to have a huge argument, allegedly on whether or not to use Jack's rescue as a political win against her opponent.

Meanwhile, Nick and Al Moosari will be on a quest to meet up with Fatah, but not before Nick must pass numerous tests.

The future for the series and the cast are dependent on the future ratings of the show. According to Detroit Free Press, its opening night ratings were generally characterized as decent by the trade press, as it drew 8.69 million viewers.

The next episode of "State of Affairs" is "Bellerophon" and airs Monday, Jan. 5. The following episode, "Ghosts," airs Monday, Jan. 12. Both are at 10 p.m. on NBC. Watch the promo for the episode below.
