"Actually it was way longer than that. That's where I get most of my money. I write songs. I'm a singer. I love endorsements and stuff, but that's all added on," she further divulged.

As of Jul. 23 of this year, the song has gone seven times multi platinum.

E! Online also reported Monday that Jessie J shared she initially pitched the song for herself, but the label didn't think it sounded right for her.

"I recorded Party In the U.S.A., played it for the label but they didn't think it was right for me. So they pitched it and two weeks later it was number one in six countries," she stated.
